Glow Up
A connected beauty and wellness platform for discovering local services, booking with confidence and running a salon day to day.
NUAGEUXSTUDIO contributed to the product engineering behind Glow Up, connecting the consumer booking journey with the tools beauty professionals use to manage their teams, calendars and payments.

The Brief
Booking an appointment is only one part of a salon's day. Customers need a clear way to find the right service, understand what a venue offers and secure a suitable time. Teams need a dependable view of appointments, customer context and checkout. Glow Up brings these moments together in one product ecosystem for beauty and wellness businesses.
Three Connected Product Surfaces
Discover and book
The GUFC Consumer experience helps customers explore beauty and wellness providers, compare services and venue details, and move from discovery into booking and payment. It connects the beauty appointment app journey with the information customers need to book with confidence.

Manage the Business
GUfM Manager gives business owners a workspace for their service catalogue, team, availability, customer records, settings and day-to-day operations. It brings the core tools of a salon management platform into one merchant workspace.
Together with the consumer experience and GU Bookings, it completes salon booking software that spans discovery, service management and checkout.
Run the Appointment
GU Bookings is a tablet-first workspace for calendars, booking creation and point-of-sale workflows. It brings appointment management closer to checkout, supporting the in-person side of online booking and payments for salons.

What I Worked On
- Full-stack product engineering across the consumer, merchant and bookings surfaces.
- Public discovery and store-profile APIs, with service, location and availability data shaped for the booking journey.
- Booking lifecycle integrations, including customer account history and appointment management.
- Stripe payment flows for online checkout, including the Payment Element and Bancontact, alongside merchant checkout workflows.
- Multi-tenant backend behavior across organizations and locations, including role-aware access and protected actions.
- Shared contracts, design-system components and finance logic used across app surfaces.
- Stabilization of authentication, transactional notifications, scheduling edge cases and regression coverage.

Engineering the Details
Glow Up is built as a shared product rather than a set of disconnected screens. A React and Vite monorepo supports the consumer app, merchant workspace and tablet bookings experience. A Fastify API and Supabase/PostgreSQL backend connect those surfaces to identity, business data and booking operations.
Stripe Connect and Stripe Elements support payment flows, while shared packages keep contracts and financial calculations consistent across frontend and backend code.
The work also focused on the less visible parts of a launch: access boundaries between organizations, reliable booking data, time-zone-aware schedules, notification delivery, payment failure states and tests around the critical customer journeys.
Technology Stack
Outcome
The result is a more connected MVP foundation for beauty and wellness bookings: customers can discover a venue and book through a public experience, while the business team can work with the same operational data across scheduling and checkout. The implementation prepares the platform for its next stage of rollout without relying on invented performance claims.
